About Me

Hi, I’m Tomas, founder of Talavera Evals.

I’m a bilingual and bicultural school psychologist with over 10 years of experience working in diverse and underserved school communities.

I specialize in psychoeducational assessments for English language learners, helping school districts complete evaluations efficiently and in close collaboration with school teams and families.

Outside of work, I enjoy dancing salsa, reading, and starting my mornings with meditation.

Why Talavera?

Talavera is a traditional Mexican art form known for its bold colors and one-of-a-kind designs—each piece reflecting a unique story.

I chose this name because it mirrors how I approach evaluations. Every student comes with their own language, culture, and experiences, and those differences matter.
